Mission Statement 
boys team charity is a volunteer service organization dedicated to developing an altruistic spirit in young men through active participation of parents and sons in philanthropic projects in their communities. 

 

Goals

1.  Serve the Community: Develop a sense of social responsibility.

2.  Promote Personal Growth: Build self esteem and a giving spirit.

3.  Strengthen Family Relationships:  Deepen bonds with parents by working together in boys team charity.

4.  Develop Leadership Skills: Cultivate respect and an appreciation of others by working as a team, developing leadership skills, and creating friendships.

5.  Provide Educational Opportunities:  Provide young men with experiences that foster their community responsibilities and goals.

 Membership Requirements

To maintain membership in boys team charity, the following requirements must be met each membership year.

Membership Year: May 1–April 30

 

Membership Location Boundaries: You must live within the Del Norte High School Boundary to join. You can check at this PUSD website: https://apps.powayusd.com/AddressLookup/AddressLookup.aspx

 

Annual Hours Commitment

Philanthropy Hours

    • 7th-9th grade boys must complete 15 philanthropy hours/year.
    • 10th-12th grade boys must complete 10 philanthropy hours/year.
    • Parents must meet the same Philanthropy hours requirements as their son, which can be done collectively between two parents.
    • Hours must be earned while serving at an approved btc Del Norte San Diego Philanthropy partner.

League Hours

    • All grade levels must complete 6 league hours/year by attending General Meetings and Team Meetings.
    • Members must attend 2 out of 3 General Meetings.
    • Parents must meet the same League hours requirements as their son, which can be done collectively between two parents.

 

Parent Leadership Commitment

    • Each family is required to have a parent serve at least one year in a leadership role (Board Member, Philanthropy Liaison, or Team Manager) during their btc tenture.

 

Annual Dues 

    • New and renewing boys: $100
    • New and renewing siblings: $75 each
    • Dues include up to two parents

 

Team Assignments 

    • Boys are assigned to Teams by the grade which they will enter in the fall of that membership year.

 

Sponsorship by a current League member is no longer required to gain membership in the btc Del Norte San Diego League.
